JAMB MUST Extend JAMB Result Validity to 3 Years

     The senate has directed the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB, to extend the validity of jamb results to a period of at least three years, to enable candidates and applicants who might fail the first time or who might be facing financial issues.

The Nigerian senate also ordered JAMB management to immediately stop its policy of re-assigning candidates to schools they didn’t apply to, saying such policy was contrary to the act establishing the board the first place, which means that the policy which was earlier introduced by jamb this 2015 is cancelled.


After a motion which is titled: ”JAMB’s New Admission Policy, “ sponsored by Senator Joshua Lidani, APC, Gombe South, which was debated during plenary yesterday.

The senate board took out time to urged the JAMB board to consult with the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) ASUU and all other bodies in the Nigerian education sector, and come up with a sustainable admissions policy.

Lidani disclosed this information, said that the JAMB board at its 2015 Combined Policy Meeting, which was held on the 14th of July, 2015, in Abuja, Nigeria.
